The nikah was held as a small family-and-close-friends occasion at K'seena House, and we were not able to invite many as our guest list was maxed to 200 guests only. We felt very sorry for the ones we weren't able to invite to join our momentous day. We would also like to express our gratitude for the ones who spared their time to attend our wedding, especially from Amirul's side which they had travel far for the event. Thank you for being part of the wedding, hopefully everyone enjoyed it as much as we do!
The wedding was planned way back in July last year- Amirul alongside with his parents and aunt has come over to my house to talk to mummy about the marriage. Alhamdulillah, we managed to sort everything out for the wedding within the 7 months period. To be really honest, I don't even think about getting married any time soon and it was quite a shock when Amirul first talk about going steady with me. Like REALLY GOING STEADY. Not the type of 'going steady' that we ask our crush in school hehe. Again on a side note, it was very unexpected for me and I was really shocked. I never talk about it to anyone at that time except for mummy, asking what are her opinions and point of views about this. You know, its not just about being married, its about me = furthering studies + wife + responsibilities, can I even juggle all that? It took me a while to make a decision, but after considering the how there are many good things about it, and yeah you know I ended up saying yes.
Well I also do thought about the bad things, such as like you know what would people say about the marriage- "so young want to get married?!", "how you want to study and live apart from your husband?", "can cope up with studies or not?", then the next second I thought WHY WOULD I CARE ABOUT PEOPLE'S OPINION ABOUT MY LIFE? I mean, its not like we can control what people is going to say about us. So just let it be... At the end of the day, you just work hard and prove to everyone that the doubts they had about you are all WRONG. Eventually as time passes by, the things that people used to talk about you will subside...
Putting this post to and end, I'm very glad with the decision that I made, ignoring all the negativity, as I'm living my life to the fullest with the ones that I love ♡ And you should too! Catch up with the next post! Xx
